Responsibilities
- Migrate and install servers, switches, device rails, PDU’s, cable management, and other equipment
- Label and professionally dress all cables for easy traceability
- Detailed inventory management of devices and connections into a client database
- Server refreshes and reboots
- Remote hands services for customers through managed ticketing systems
- Power cycling
- Troubleshooting hardware malfunctions and address issues with team collaboration
- Daily status reporting
- Power test incoming products before being moved into the data center floor
- Handling shipping and receiving requests
- Reporting on equipment performance
- Environmental equipment audits
Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in computer and technical education or previous experience in a data center support role
- A+, Network+, Security+ CCNA, certifications preferred
- Familiar with Cisco, Juniper, Dell, NetApp, and HP Data Center products
- Ability to work independently
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail
