Silverback Data Center Solutions, a leader in Data Center Technical Services is looking for highly motivated Data Center sales professionals in Seattle, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Chicago, Dallas, Austin, and Northern Virginia who will be responsible for prospecting and closing business opportunities with new accounts nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Targeting and supporting end user clients who own, operate, run, or manage internal enterprise or external commercial data centers
- Documented track record of success in a fast-moving sales environment carrying sales quota in excess of $1M per year
- Prospecting, presenting, proposing, and closing new enterprise accounts to support Silverback’s overall sales strategy
- Building relationships and forming strategic alliances with data center colocation providers and other vendors in the data center space
- Building and developing a pipeline of new partners and end user client opportunities by hunting new opportunities
- Strategic selling experience required with an in-depth knowledge of how technology is aligned to achieve business goals and overcome organizational challenges
- Responsible for managing all facets of the relationship with key accounts and ensuring revenue goals are being met
- Developing opportunities across the Silverback service portfolio while effectively selling solutions and services using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge
Requirements
- 5+ years of direct sales experience within the data center or a directly adjacent sector selling Data Center Solutions (e.g., Infrastructure, Migration, and Services)
- Possess a hunter mentality with the ability to manage and grow enterprise and SMB accounts
- Ability to work independently and with a team as an individual contributor
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required
- Experience building analysis, ROI, and business value documents
- Experience with internet related software and systems including SFDC
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Excellent client interface skills with a client-focused approach
- Have the ability to leverage existing contact/client relationships
- Applicants must be willing to travel throughout the US as necessary
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

- Remote hands services for customers through managed ticketing systems
- Power cycling
- Troubleshooting hardware malfunctions and address issues with team collaboration
- Daily status reporting
- Power test incoming products before being moved into the data center floor
- Handling shipping and receiving requests
- Reporting on equipment performance
- Environmental equipment audits
Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in computer and technical education or previous experience in a data center support role
- A+, Network+, Security+ CCNA, certifications preferred
- Familiar with Cisco, Juniper, Dell, NetApp, and HP Data Center products
- Ability to work independently
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail
